As part of the publicity actions for the Innovation Centers project, members of the Project Team participated with a presentation at the 1st International Conference AI-education2025 titled "Artificial Intelligence and Innovation in Education: Ethical and Technological Dimensions", on December 12 & 13, 2025, at the International Hellenic University, Alexandria Campus, Sindos, Thessaloniki. The presentation was titled "Can digital assistants (chatbots) help in understanding bar charts? A survey with high school students."
The presentation focused on the integration of Generative Artificial Intelligence tools into the educational process. AI emerged as a key player in restructuring learning with personalized pathways, smart feedback, and new forms of educational support in Mathematics teaching. At the same time, it was pointed out that the Innovation Centers aim to multiply and strengthen similar research initiatives and to promote innovative pedagogical approaches.
The participation was constructive, as it fostered an exchange of ideas on innovative pedagogical approaches and the use of emerging technologies, while also it highlighted key issues such as instructional scenario design and the strengthening of school pedagogy.
