On Monday, 22 December 2025, at 14:00, the inauguration of the Central Greece Innovation Center will take place in Ypati, Phthiotis, officiated by the Minister of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, Ms Sofia Zacharaki.

The Innovation Centers constitute a new institution within the education system and were established in 2025 in each Regional Directorate of Education. Their design and development are implemented by the Computer Technology Institute and Press “Diophantus” (CTI “Diophantus”), with funding from the Recovery and Resilience Fund.

The Central Greece Innovation Center, the first to become operational nationwide, includes specialized laboratories for Virtual and Augmented Reality, Robotics, STEM, as well as a Design and Fabrication Space.
