Ms. Zacharoula Smyrnaiou, Professor at the Department of Secondary Education, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and Vice President of CTI and Press “Diophantus,” participated in the 17th International Conference “Informatics in Education” (November 7–9, 2025), promoting the initiative for the establishment of the Network of Innovation Centers in the Greek educational system.
The Innovation Centers, implemented by ITYE “Diophantus” with funding from the Recovery Fund (2023–2026), aim to transition from the traditional school model to a dynamic learning ecosystem, based on the principles of STE(A)M, green development, and participatory innovation.
With a vision of a school connected to society, research, and entrepreneurship, the Innovation Centers bring modern education one step closer to the future.
