The Computer Technology Institute and Press “DIOPHANTUS” (CTI) co-organized with great success the 4th Innovation and Entrepreneurship Conference IMPACT 2025 (Innovation to the Market PAtras Conference on Technological transfer), under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, on 21 and 22 May 2025 at the Headquarters of CTI DIOPHANTUS in Patras. The aim of this year's event was to further connect the academic community with business, to strengthen the ecosystem, to interconnect it with other ecosystems, to develop common goals, such as technological support for businesses, the innovation zone, to meet the needs of institutions, and to highlight new technological opportunities.
During the conference, Project Manager Prof. Zacharoula Smyrnaiou presented the mission, role and main functions of the Innovation Centres developed in the 13 Regional Directorates of Education.
The Innovation Centres introduce a new educational approach based on experiential learning, cutting-edge technologies (STEM, XR, VR/AR, AI), and the enhancement of creativity and collaboration in the school environment.
They are innovation hubs that host state-of-the-art laboratories and support innovative programmes for students and teachers, enhancing the educational process and creating collaborative networks at local, national and international level.
