The 2nd Student Mathematical Conference, titled "Mathematical Challenges in the 21st Century", is organized by the Regional Education Quality Supervisor of Western Greece and the branches of the Hellenic Mathematical Society. The conference will host 800 students from 70 schools, under the guidance of 200 educators, who will present their research projects at the Conference & Cultural Center of the University of Patras, on March 15-16, 2025.
The conference aims to enhance students' interest in Mathematics, connect it with other sciences, and highlight its importance in everyday life. At the same time, it promotes collaboration among educators through the exchange of best practices.
Keynote speakers include distinguished mathematicians P. Mertikopoulos, S. Aretakis, and F. Zafeiropoulou, while academic Georgios Dasios will be honored for his contribution to education.
The program will also feature a musical event, and certificates of participation will be awarded to attendees.
