20ο Πανελλήνιο Συνέδριο της Ένωσης Ελλήνων Φυσικών

Mrs. Zacharoula Smyrnaiou, Associate Professor at the Pedagogical Department of Secondary Education of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and Vice President of ITYE Diophantus participated, as an invited speaker, in the proceedings of the 20th Panhellenic Conference of the Union of Greek Physicists, entitled "Physics meets Society" - Discoveries - Achievements - Perspectives for Physics in the 21st century, which took place on 8-10 March 2024 in Lamia, under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, the University of Thessaly, the Region of Central Greece and the Municipality of Lamia, co-organized by the Regional Directorate of Primary & Secondary Education of Central Greece and the cooperation of the Department of Physics of Lamia.

The aim of the 20th Panhellenic Conference of the Union of Greek Physicists was to provide a platform from which distinguished scientists who excel in our country and abroad presented their work on modern physics. At the same time, the conference sought to give the opportunity to colleagues to present their concerns and proposals for the upgrading of the Physics course. A particular aim of the conference is to build bridges of communication and cooperation between the scientific field, education, society and the citizen.
